Hebron Theatre proudly presents a Bravo Production double bill of two compelling one-act plays.

Up the Down Staircase is a warm and humorous story that examines the day-to-day life of an idealistic novice English teacher in a 1960’s inner-city high school.  In Christopher Sergel's adaptation of Bel Kaufman's celebrated novel, Sylvia Barrett quickly finds herself challenged with navigating administrative bureaucracy, as she tries to meet the true needs of her students.

Lisa Loomer’s Distracted is a powerful story of the difficulties of parenting a child diagnosed with ADD and the effects on people close to him. This comedic satiric journey through multiple doctors and attempted treatments is an apt metaphorical diagnosis of the brain-pinching chaos of our times.

Performances will be Thursday, May 5th at 7 PM, Friday, May 6th at 7 PM and Saturday May 7th at 2 PM in the Hebron High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Seats are reserved and are available online at hebrontheatre.com.
