Thank You! From Sonoma House Assisted Living & Alzheimer’s Care:

On behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association, we would like to extend a huge thank you to all who came out to the Sonoma House Casino Night Alzheimer’s fundraiser event. We raised several thousand dollars for the Alzheimer’s Association and we could not have accomplished this without the help of the Family of Mozelle Rawson Brown (artist in residence), our residents families, our staff, many vendors and the community. We would like to acknowledge the vendors who generously supported our efforts:  Angelina’s Restaurante Mexicano, Camden Hill Montessori, Compassionate Care Hospice, Costco Wholesale, Cristina’s Fine Mexican Restaurant, Encompass Home Health & Hospice, Gather McKinney, Gigi’s Cupcakes, GolfTec, Golfsmith, Hospice Plus, Illusions Candleworks, In Bloom, Initials, Inc., Mena’s Tex Mex Cantina, Parkway Pharmacy, Pollock Paper Distributors, Sam’s Club, Savannah Café & Bakery, and United Party Rental.  We look forward to making this an annual event supporting our Alzheimer’s community.  To learn more about Sonoma House Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s Care, please visit our web site, www.sonomahouseal.com and to learn more about the Alzheimer’s Association, please visit their web site, www.alz.org.

Sonoma House Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s Care wrapped up their 2014 food and coat drive which supported the Metrocrest Services, a social service agency that provides a wide range of emergency aid, financial assistance and services to support independent living for individuals, families and seniors. They serve individuals living in:

  • Carrollton
  • Farmers Branch
  • Addison
  • Coppell
  • the city of Dallas in Denton County

Many food and coat donations came in from Denton, Collin and Dallas counties. We are pleased with the participation from the community and look forward to our next opportunity to partner with our surrounding neighbors in support of Metrocrest Services.
