The preschool children at the Dallas Can Academy Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) in Carrollton/Farmers Branch enjoyed a morning Easter egg-stravaganza and egg hunt to kick off Easter weekend.  Easter colors were worn by the kids and they decorated Easter bags and baskets in anticipation of filling them with eggs.  The Easter Bunny meticulously filled each egg with candy and treats and silently hopped outside to hide eggs on the school playground.  Squeals of delight were heard as the playground gates opened and the children collected the hidden brightly colored eggs.  Most of their decorated bags were filled quickly with eggs.  However, several of the preschoolers shared their bounty with other children that were a little slower in collecting eggs.

After all the eggs had been found, the children were ushered back inside to look at their brightly colored treasures and have lunch. Each child chose one treat to eat as they settled inside.  The Easter Bunny waved goodbye and hurriedly hopped away for his next Easter egg hunt.
