The Boys Golf Team at Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) won first place at the TAPPS 5A Boys Golf State Championship on April 30. The win marks the Trojans’ fifth team state championship in the past six years. Junior Will Zalatoris captured his second consecutive individual State Championship firing a 69-72 (141), three under par, winning the title by three strokes. Senior Preston Harrington placed sixth, and junior Scott Bennett finished in tenth.

Will, Preston and Scott all earned All-State accolades for finishing among the top ten golfers at the State Championship Tournament.

The TCA Girls Golf Team placed second at the TAPPS 5A State Tournament. Freshman Courtney Dow claimed the individual State Championship title, after shooting rounds of 72-73. Sophomore Emma Kate Liu also earned “All-State” honors by finishing in sixth place overall. The girls season included six top-three finishes in seven events played.
