Grade level handwriting competition winners for OC

For the second year in a row, a student from Oak Crest Private School in Carrollton has won the Zaner-Bloser Handwriting Competition for his grade level. The competition is aimed at promoting legible and beautiful handwriting. Oak Crest Private School emphasizes 100% mastery of all subjects taught. This includes the mastery of printing, writing in cursive and, after these are mastered, typing. In addition to working on these skills during the school year, children can practice or learn these skills during summer camp at the school.

Schools from all over Texas, including public, private and charter schools, started by selecting their grade level winners. They then submitted samples of their local winners' writing for the competition. From these, the best writer of the state was then selected. We are happy to share the news that this winner is from Carrollton!
