Coppell resident and Coppell Middle School North student Olivia Smith lost her battle to Leukemia on September 24, 2013.  She was 11 years old.  One of her last wishes was for a foundation to started in her memory.  An online fundraiser has been set up to fund a donor-advised fund which will suppor activities for children with cancer, financial assistance for families fighting childhood cancer, and childhood cancer research.
