C-FB ISD’s entire ‘six-city-footprint’ is invited to Ranchview High School for the Back the Future Rally presented by C-FB ISD Council PTA, C-FB ISD and Community Partners on September 29.

Everyone in the CFBISD community is welcome to attend! Parents, students, future parents of students, businesses, community members and alumni will enjoy connecting and celebrating our public schools.

Free, family-friendly, games, food and fun. You’ll meet others who Back the Future by supporting our students. Ranchview is located at 8401 E. Valley Ranch Parkway East in Irving. The Rally begins at 6 pm and concludes at 8 pm.

This is the second year CFBISD is presenting this event. Last year over 400 persons enjoyed the festive atmosphere and learned about great things happening in our schools.

CFBISD Council PTA President Catherine Carlin shares: “Texas PTA launched Back the Future recognizing that strong schools build strong communities and strong communities support their local schools. CFBISD offers outstanding opportunities for all students. These open houses provide a welcoming environment for the community to come in our doors and discover why CFBISD is an outstanding educational choice.”

The beginning of the school year is time to celebrate the great things happening within our district and talk about what PTA REALLY stands for, and how families, teachers, students, community members and leaders can be involved. Learn how to back the future, back our schools!

PTA is the largest advocacy organization for students, teachers and parents. Texas PTA represents over 500,000 members and encourages public involvement in public schools. Back the Future recognizes strong schools build strong communities and encourages community partners to positively engage with schools. C-FB ISD Council’s membership initiative reaches out beyond the campuses and includes its new “Back the Future:”member which encourages community members to join PTA on campuses that would especially benefit by their engagement.

Carrollton-Farmers Branch Council PTA provides coordination, training, scholarships, grants and support for all of the active local PTA units on the 40 C-FB ISD campuses and centers along with the following programs:

  • PTA Clothes Closet which provides clothing to students and families in need;
  • Teacher grants to support student achievement;
  • Student scholarships;
  • Training for PTA campus leaders;
  • Family engagement/education programs on the campuses;
  • Programs that increase student awareness of the environment
  • Healthy Lifestyles initiatives such as Red Ribbon Week
  • Reflections competitions which encourages creativity and recognizes achievements in Literature and the Fine Arts.
