DESCRIPTION:The Dallas Architecture Forum\, a non-profit organization dedic
 ated to providing public education about architecture\, design\, public sp
 ace and the urban environment\, begins its 2024-2025 Lecture Series on Thu
 rsday\, October 10\, 2024\, at 7:00 pm. The Forum is pleased to present aw
 ard-winning architect Eddie Jones as the speaker for this Season’s inaugur
 al lecture. This Lecture will be held at the Angelika Film Center at Mocki
 ngbird Station. Forum members may attend for free. Tickets for non-members
  will be available at the door - $5 for Students (with student i.d.)\, $25
  General Admission. Check-in and pre-Lecture Reception will begin at 6:15
  pm in the lobby of the Angelika. \nFor more than 40 years\, Eddie Jones F
 AIA has led Jones Studio with a persistent optimism that is fueled by his
  enduring commitment to sustainability and his intrepid spirit for innovat
 ive design. Eddie works closely with clients to craft a shared vision and
  lead all aspects of design from concept through construction. Under Eddie
 ’s design vision and leadership\, Jones Studio has received over two hundr
 ed design awards\, including a National AIA Award and a GSA Design Excelle
 nce Honor. The studio’s hallmark projects include civic\, cultural\, memor
 ial and residential design. Locally he was the design architect for the Ri
 ver Legacy Living Science Center. \nJones was awarded AIA Arizona’s Archit
 ect Medal\, the highest honor an individual practitioner of architecture c
 an receive in the state. He is also a recipient of the Melvin R. Lohmann M
 edal for career achievement in architecture from his alma mater\, Oklahoma
  State University - the highest honor bestowed on a graduate of the Colleg
 e of Engineering\, Architecture\, and Technology - and was also inducted i
 nto their Hall of Fame. He also held the Bruce Goff Chair at the Universit
 y of Oklahoma College of Architecture. \nEddie was appointed a Founding Go
 vernor for The School of Architecture (formerly The School of Architecture
  at Taliesin) and has served on numerous civic and academic boards and com
 mittees designed to advance the quality of architecture in the community.
  Eddie has lectured widely throughout North America\, Europe\, and Asia an
 d is active in numerous civic and academic committees\, focusing on design
  excellence\, education\, community impact\, and sustainability. He has pu
 blished two books\, one titled Jones Studio Houses : Sensual Modernism and
